LocalGateAI is a Mac app that runs AI models locally on your own device. This policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: the app is built so your data never leaves your Mac.

1. Information we collect

None. LocalGateAI has no account system, no sign-in, and no cloud services. We do not collect, transmit, or store your prompts, the model's responses, your files, or any usage data.

2. How the app works

LocalGateAI runs a local server bound to 127.0.0.1 (localhost) on your Mac. All AI processing happens on your device. Your prompts and the model's responses stay on your machine and are never sent to us or any third party.

3. Network access

The app connects to the internet only to download model files the first time you activate a model, and to check for app updates. Once a model is downloaded, it runs fully offline. We do not receive any of your content through these connections.

4. Third-party services

Model files are hosted by Hugging Face. When you download a model, that request goes to Hugging Face's servers and is subject to their privacy policy. We do not share any personal data with them — downloading a model is a standard file request.

5. Analytics & telemetry

There is none. The app contains no analytics, tracking, telemetry, or crash reporting that sends data off your device.

6. Data storage

Downloaded models and your app settings are stored locally on your Mac. You can remove them at any time by deleting the app and its data.

7. Children's privacy

The app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
