In one line: Chunkly works entirely on your device. We collect nothing — no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs. Your voice never leaves your iPhone.

Data we collect

None. Chunkly has no account system, no sign-in, and no servers of its own. We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is nothing for us to sell or share, because nothing ever reaches us.

Microphone & speech recognition

Chunkly records your voice only when you tap the record button, solely to evaluate your pronunciation. Recognition and scoring run entirely on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your recordings are stored only on your device, older recordings are deleted automatically, and nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else.

A future version may add optional cloud-based recognition for greater accuracy. If that happens, it will be clearly indicated in the app, you will be able to choose whether to use it, and this policy will be updated beforehand to describe exactly what is sent and to whom.

Practice data

Your practice history, scores, streaks, mastery records and settings are stored only on your device, using the system's local storage, and never leave it. Removing the app removes this data.

Purchases

The full version is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed by Apple through the App Store — there is no subscription and nothing renews. We do not receive or store any payment information; we only learn whether the unlock has been purchased. A connection is used only to make or restore the purchase.

No third parties

• No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• Learning content is built from open data bundled with the app — the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary, ECDICT and wordfreq. Using it involves no network request; details are on the in-app licenses page.

Children

Chunkly collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
