Common questions
How do I play online?
Sign in to Game Center, then choose a mode to auto-match an opponent, or invite a friend. Matches are real-time and peer-to-peer through Apple's Game Center.
Do the paid heroes give a competitive advantage?
No. Hero packs unlock new skills and flavor, never a base stat boost. Pieces keep their standard values and every skill plays by the real rules. You can win with the free hero.
I bought a hero but it's not showing on my other device.
Open the store in the app and tap "Restore Purchases" using the same Apple ID you bought with. Hero packs are non-consumable and restore at no extra cost.
Online play won't connect.
Make sure you're signed in to Game Center (device Settings → Game Center), have a stable internet connection, and that Game Center isn't restricted by Screen Time. Then try matchmaking again.
How is a winner decided?
By checkmate, using full FIDE rules — including stalemate, the fifty-move rule, threefold repetition, and insufficient material for draws. Skills never change how a win is decided.
Which languages are supported?
Ten languages, switchable in the app's settings.
