Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-07-25 · Antipode
In one line: Antipode uses your location only on your device to compute the point on the other side of the world. We have no servers, no account, and collect nothing.
Data we collect
None. Antipode has no account system, no sign-in, and no servers of its own. We do not collect, receive, transmit, or store your location or any usage data. There is nothing for us to sell or share, because nothing ever reaches us.
How your location is used
With your permission, Antipode reads your current location (while you are using the app) for one purpose: to compute your antipode — the point on the globe exactly opposite you — and to center the map. This calculation happens entirely on your device. Your location is not sent to us, not stored on any server, and not shared with any third party. You can use the app without granting location access by tapping a point on the map instead, and you can change the permission anytime in the system Settings.
Maps
Antipode displays maps using Apple's MapKit. To draw the map, Apple may receive the map region being viewed, as needed to serve map tiles; this is handled by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. Antipode does not send Apple your identity or your precise location for this purpose.
On-device storage
Any preferences (such as your chosen language) are stored only on your device. Antipode keeps no account and no history on a server. Removing the app removes its data.
No third parties
- No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- Antipode is free and has no in-app purchases.
Children
Antipode is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version introduces any data-related feature, we will update this policy and note the change here with a new effective date.
